COVID-19 Notice to Patients
As of May 4th 2020 Optometrists will be able to provide routine eye exams in addition to urgent, critical and emergency care services. However, the procedures and protocols at our office will be very different to our regular "routine".
Here is some of what you can expect:
Before entering the building, you will need to ensure that you pass the screening criteria. If you have experienced any symptoms,or have been in contact with anyone who is sick,or experiencing symptoms please call 811 and they will further assist you.
Once inside the building there will be signs to sanitize and maintain proper social distancing. Many of the procedures we need to do in the office cannot be done from 6ft away, we are taking other precautions when social distancing cannot be maintained.
We recommend that individuals entering our office bring a mask or face covering to wear the duration of these procedures. Our staff will be provided with masks to wear when needed.
One of the most effective ways of ensuring that we maintain social distancing is to limit the number of people in the office at any given time. We are also decreasing the number of exams that we do in a day, to help ensure efficiency and to allow sufficient time for cleaning protocols between patients.
As Alberta moves through the phases of reopening, our policies and protocols are likewise to change. We appreciate your continued patience during this time.
